Remember Josh Cunningham? He’s the 16-year old running BitWise Fellows, the brainchild of entrepreneur Ron Brumbarger. The home-schooled junior has hired two Web developers, a designer and a project manager to work with him. They’re all seniors at Northside high schools.

One project has gone live, and two others are close. Cunningham has proposals out on three other projects. “They do great work,” said Doug Rose, head of an apartment-management company. Rose paid them $750 to develop a site for his nonprofit, Families Preventing Birth Defects, www.fpbd.org.

“We could make more working somewhere else,” Cunningham said. “Once we get in the black, we’ll think about bonuses.”
